The 38-gauge triangle needle is a good general purpose needle. It is used for medium felting. It has three sides with barbs notched out; but the size is smaller than the 36, so it leaves a smaller hole. This needle is good for attaching two felted pieces together and also for attaching a felted item to a wool surface.
