14/1 can be used for both warp and weft, but care must be taken as it is fragile. For any lace project, this is the perfect yarn for a weaver. Care in warp preparation, treating with some linseed mixture, will make warping, and eventually, weaving, much easier. It makes fantastic woven lace fabric.
